Charlie Brown's Fresh Grill Onion Rings Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 large Onions
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
- 1 quart Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Peel and cut onions into 1/2-inch slices. Separate into rings.
- Pour milk into a medium bowl.
- Add cut onion rings. Soak for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Mix well.
- Add vegetable oil to a deep fryer or a large pot. Heat to 375°F as measured by a candy thermometer.
- Remove onion rings from the milk, a few at a time, and place them in the flour mixture. Turn and toss to coat.
- Place floured rings in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Remove to a paper towel-covered plate to drain.
- Season with salt, to taste, and serve hot with dipping sauces, of choice (See Box below for Links to Some Good Ones!)
