Lawry's The Prime Rib Creamed Spinach Recipe
Ingredients
- One 10-ounce package frozen chopped Spinach
- 2 Bacon slices finely chopped
- 1 cup finely chopped Green Onions
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1 teaspoon seasoned Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 3/4 cup Half-and-Half
Instructions
- Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain well. Set aside.
- Add prepared bacon and onions to a medium skillet.
- Place over medium heat and fry until bacon is done and onions are tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Quickly add in flour, seasoned salt, pepper and garlic to the bacon and onions. Blend thoroughly.
- Return skillet to low heat.
- Gradually add in the half-and-half, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add the spinach. Mix well.
- Increase heat and heat just to desired serving temperature. Do not overcook.
- Serve hot.
