P.F. Chang's Spicy Green Beans Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound Green Beans
- 2 Green Onions white parts only
- 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 3 dried Red Chili Peppers
- 1 tablespoon thinly sliced Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Szechuan Hot Chili Flakes
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim ends off green beans. Break them into 1 1/2 inch long pieces. Rinse and drain thoroughly. Set aside.
- Slice green onions into strips to match beans.
- Add oil to a wok.
- Heat wok to medium high heat.
- When the oil is hot, stir in green onions, red chili pepper and garlic. Stir fry briefly until aromatic.
- Add green beans. Stir fry constantly until color turn dark green and 60 percent cooked.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, water and Szechuan chili flakes. Cover and cook at high heat for 1 - 2 minutes.
- After the green beans are cooked through, season the dish with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Serve hot with rice.
