Cheesecake Factory
Fast forward to 1972 and after the children had grown, Evelyn and her husband, Oscar, relocated to Los Angeles, determined to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. With their remaining savings, they founded The Cheesecake Factory Bakery, where they began supplying Evelyn’s delectable cheesecakes to restaurants across Los Angeles.
Their son, David, possessing remarkable foresight, saw the potential to showcase his mother’s cheesecake creations in a restaurant setting. In 1978, he realized his dream by opening the inaugural Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. The restaurant experienced immediate success and today The Cheesecake Factory has a global presence with over 220 restaurants worldwide.
The restaurant boasts an extensive menu, featuring a wide range of dishes, from appetizers and salads to pastas, steaks, seafood, burgers and more. But the real star of The Cheesecake Factory is its dessert menu, offering a decadent array of over 30 cheesecake varieties. The Original Cheesecake and creative options like the Chocolate Tuxedo and Salted Caramel are beloved by diners for their rich and creamy textures.

How to Grill Delicious Burgers
Grilling a good burger is an art that combines the right ingredients, techniques and attention to detail to create a delicious and juicy burger. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get you started.
Ingredients
- Ground Beef – Choose high-quality ground beef with a higher fat content, like 80% lean and 20% fat, for juicier burgers.
- Seasonings – Use salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings to flavor the meat.
- Burger Buns – Select fresh burger buns to hold your creation.
- Toppings – Prepare your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, pickles and condiments.
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill – Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 350 – 450°F (175 – 230°C).
- Form the Patties – Divide the ground beef into evenly sized portions, typically about 6 – 8 ounces each. Gently form them into patties about 3/4 to 1-inch thick. Avoid overworking the meat, this is a rookie mistake that can make the burgers tough.
- Season the Patties – Season both sides of each patty with salt, pepper and any other desired seasonings.
- Grill the Burgers – Place the patties on the preheated grill. Grill for about 4 – 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, longer if you prefer a more well-done burger. Avoid pressing down on the patties with a spatula, as this releases juices and can lead to a drier burger.
- Add Cheese (Optional) – If you want cheese on your burgers, add it during the last minute of grilling. Close the grill lid to help the cheese melt.
- Toast the Buns – In the last minute of grilling, place the burger buns on the grill to toast them lightly.
- Assemble and Serve – Remove the burgers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings and condiments on the toasted buns.
- Enjoy – Serve your burgers hot and enjoy the juicy, flavorful creation you’ve grilled to perfection.
Remember that grilling times can vary depending on your grill’s temperature and the thickness of your patties. Adjust the cooking time to achieve your desired level of doneness.
