This honey-sweetened rum cocktail was created by the talented bartenders at the Nomi Restaurant in the Park Hyatt Chicago when their hotel hosted the James Beard Foundation’s 2018 Chef Jacket Presentation. The intimate lunch featured lamb merguez rissole and madai carpaccio along with the Honey Do Cocktail.

Nomi Restaurant, Park Hyatt Chicago Honey Do Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Rum I used Jamaican Rum
- 1 ounces freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 ounce Honey Simple Syrup to taste (How much you need will depend upon the sweetness of the orange juice)
- Orange Peel for garnish
Instructions
- To an ice-filled shaker, add all the ingredients, except orange peel. Shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into an ice-filled Rocks or other glass.
- Garnish with orange peel.
- Serve.
