Chick-fil-A Mac & Cheese Recipe
Make our Chick-fil-A Mac & Cheese Recipe at home. With our Secret Restaurant Recipe your Mac & Cheese will taste just like Chick-fil-A.
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients
- One 16-ounce box Elbow Macaroni
- 2 cups Half and Half
- 1 tablespoon salted Butter
- 1 pound grated American Cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Romano Cheese
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1/2 pound grated Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
- Prepare pasta according to package directions to a soft texture (Cook a bit longer than al dente). Drain. Set aside.
- In a large pot add half and half and butter.
- Place pot over medium heat.
- When butter has melted, add American cheese, Parmesan cheese and Romano cheese. Cook, stirring frequently to keep cheeses from scorching.
- When cheese has completely melted and sauce is smooth, taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
- Place pasta into a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Spread to an even layer.
- Pour prepared cheese sauce over pasta. Mix gently to make sure sauce is fully incorporated.
- Spread Cheddar cheese over top in an even layer.
- Turn oven on to high broil.
- Place pasta in oven. Watch carefully. Cook until Cheddar cheese has melted and is just beginning to brown.
- Remove from oven and serve hot.
