This Agua Negra Marinade is used by Chevys Fresh Mex to make their signature Mesquite-Grilled Steak Fajitas. We have done it as a separate recipe because you can easily substitute this delicious marinade for the marinade in other Mexican and Tex-Mex Recipes. Agua Negra is also great for basic backyard barbecued steaks and chicken, too – just marinate 1 hour to overnight before grilling anyway you like.

Make our Chevys Fresh Mex Agua Negra Marinade Recipe at home. With our Secret Restaurant Recipe your Agua Negra Marinade will taste just like Chevys Fresh Mex.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Soy Sauce
- 2 cups Pineapple Juice
- 2 tablespoons ground Cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced Garlic
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed Lime Juice
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Whisk to mix well, making sure to break up any lumps of spices.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
