Ruby Tuesday Garlic Cheese Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 3 teaspoons Garlic Powder or Granulated Garlic divided
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Chicken Bouillon Granules
- 1/2 cup Butter-Flavored Shortening Best or Regular Shortening
- 3/4 cup shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 3 tablespoon dried Parsley Flakes divided
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons Butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F
- In a small bowl, add flour, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, baking powder, baking soda and chicken bouillon granules. Whisk to combine.
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cheese and 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes. Mix well.
- Stir in buttermilk, just until moistened.
- Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
- Place baking sheet in preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Leave oven on.
- Combine butter with remaining garlic powder. Brush generously over biscuits.
- Return to oven. Bake 4 minutes longer or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven. Sprinkle with remaining dried parsley flakes.
- Serve warm.
