IHOP German Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 large Eggs
- 1/3 cup Whole Milk
- 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Butter melted
- Powdered Sugar to garnish
- Fresh Fruit or Canned Fruit Pie Filling of choice, to serve
- Whipped Cream to serve
- Lemon Wedges to serve
- Butter to serve
- Maple Syrup to serve
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F.
- Place eggs in a medium bowl. Beat eggs with electric mixer until well mixed. Add milk, cream, sugar, salt and vanilla. Mix until sugar is dissolved.
- Add sifted flour. Mix until smooth.
- Set aside and allow batter to rest for 10 minutes.
- Add butter to an oven proof skillet. Swirl pan to coat bottom evenly with butter.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Place skillet in preheated oven. Bake in oven for 14 - 16 minutes or until golden brown with dark brown around the edges.
- Remove skillet from the oven. Allow to rest for about 1 minute.
- Loosen pancake from edges of pan with a spatula. Slide pancake onto a plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Add fruit and whipped cream, if desired.
- Serve with lemon wedges, butter and syrup.
