Z'Tejas Chili Con Queso Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 ounces Chorizo (Spicy Mexican Sausage)
- 1 pound White American Cheese cut into cubes
- 3 cups Half & Half
- 3 cups fresh Salsa of choice
- 1 tablespoon Chipotle in Adobo Sauce
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Place a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chorizo. Cook and crumble until fully cooked.
- Add chorizo and all other ingredients to a double boiler.
- Cook over medium heat until cheese has melted, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
- Serve hot with chips or nachos or as a topping for tacos, burritos and other Mexican and Tex-Mex foods.
