Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza Meatballs and Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza's Meatball Sauce (See Recipe Box below for this Recipe)
- 1 pound Ground Beef or Chuck
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 1/4 cups + 2 tablespoons Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Romano Cheese
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Italian Parsley chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic peeled and smashed
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil
Instructions
- Prepare Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza's Meatball Sauce according to the recipe in the Recipe Box below. Reduce heat and keep warm while preparing meatballs. (Alternately, prepare meatball sauce in advance. Or, if you are an experienced cook, prepare the 2 recipes together.)
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- In a medium bowl, place beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, cheese, pepper and parsley. Using your hands, mix ingredients until blended. Do not overwork.
- Place garlic and olive oil on rimmed baking sheet.
- Hand roll beef mixture into sixteen 2-ounce balls. Place meatballs on prepared pan.
- Place pan in preheated oven and bake until meatballs are golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and transfer meatball to prepared Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza's Meatball Sauce. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza's Meatball Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- Two 28-ounce cans Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 whole cloves Garlic peeled
- 2 fresh Basil Leaves
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Place pan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat further and keep warm while preparing meatballs.
- Can be done in advance. Store, covered, in the refrigerator, until ready to use. Warm before using.
