Panda Express Kung Pao Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon Canola or Vegetable Oil
- 2 Red Chilis seeded and finely minced
- 1 pound uncooked boneless skinless Chicken Breasts, diced into 1-inch cubes
- 1 Red Bell Pepper cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1 Green Bell Pepper cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1 Green Onion cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 stalks Celery sliced thin
- 4 tablespoon Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts chopped, if desired
- 2 tablespoons Rice Wine
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chili-Garlic Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoon fresh Ginger grated
- 1/4 teaspoon roasted Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Add oil and red chilis to a wok or deep skillet. Heat until oil is hot and shimmering.
- Carefully add chicken. Sauté for about 6 - 8 minutes, until chicken is cooked though. Remove chicken to a plate (or, in a wok, push to the side, if you like). Set aside and keep warm
- Add bell peppers, green onion and celery to wok or skillet. Sauté until translucent.
- Add chicken back in.
- Add chicken broth, peanuts, wine, soy sauce, chili-garlic sauce, brown sugar and ginger.
- Sauté for 5 to 6 more minutes until sauce forms and covers chicken and vegetables completely.
- Remove from heat and serve over cooked white rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sesame seeds.
