La Madeleine Quiche Florentine Recipe
Ingredients
- One 9-inch round Pie Crust round store bought or homemade, of choice
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup Half and Half or Whole Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup diced Ham, or crisp cooked Bacon, chopped
- 2 cups fresh Spinach chopped and loosely packed
- 1 1/2 cup shredded Swiss Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- If using homemade, place pie crust in 9-inch shallow pan.
- Place either homemade or store bought crust in preheated oven and bake for 12 minutes.
- Place eggs, half and half or milk, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk well to combine. Place meat in the bottom of the pie crust.
- Add spinach and cheese.
- Remove crust from oven.
- Pour milk and egg mixture over the ingredients in the pie crust.
- Reset oven to 375°F.
- Place quiche in oven. Bake for 35 minutes. Check for doneness (Quiche is done when a table knife inserted in the middle, comes out clean) - Bake additional 5 minutes if needed. Do not overbake.
- Remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes. Quiche will continue to cook as it cools.
- Serve warm or cool.
