- One 9-inch round Pie Crust round store bought or homemade, of choice
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cup Half and Half or Whole Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup diced Ham, or crisp cooked Bacon, chopped
- 2 cups fresh Spinach chopped and loosely packed
- 1 1/2 cup shredded Swiss Cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F.
If using homemade, place pie crust in 9-inch shallow pan.
Place either homemade or store bought crust in preheated oven and bake for 12 minutes.
Place eggs, half and half or milk, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk well to combine. Place meat in the bottom of the pie crust.
Add spinach and cheese.
Remove crust from oven.
Pour milk and egg mixture over the ingredients in the pie crust.
Reset oven to 375°F.
Place quiche in oven. Bake for 35 minutes. Check for doneness (Quiche is done when a table knife inserted in the middle, comes out clean) - Bake additional 5 minutes if needed. Do not overbake.
Remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes. Quiche will continue to cook as it cools.
Serve warm or cool.
