The French Toast Everyone Knows
American diner style French Toast is defined by simplicity and texture. Thick bread absorbs a lightly sweet egg mixture, then cooks on a flat griddle until the outside sets while the inside stays soft. The goal is comfort rather than complexity. Served with butter and syrup, this style has become a standard breakfast option across diners like Denny’s.
