Auntie Anne’s
Auntie Anne’s is a beloved American pretzel chain known for its warm, buttery, and freshly baked soft pretzels. Founded in 1988 by Anne Beiler in a Pennsylvania farmer’s market, the brand quickly grew from a small stand into a global franchise. Beiler, who started the company as a way to support her husband’s counseling center, perfected a simple yet irresistible pretzel recipe that would define the brand’s success.
The menu revolves around hand-rolled, freshly baked pretzels, with signature varieties like the Original, Cinnamon Sugar, and Roasted Garlic Parmesan. The pretzels are known for their pillowy softness, slight chew, and signature buttery glaze, often paired with house-made dips like cheese, honey mustard, and caramel. Auntie Anne’s also serves pretzel dogs, pretzel nuggets, and refreshing lemonade, making it a go-to snack destination.
The chain has expanded to over 1,800 locations worldwide, primarily found in shopping malls, airports, amusement parks, and travel centers. Its popularity stems from the unbeatable aroma of fresh pretzels baking in-store, an inviting sight that tempts passersby. The brand’s reputation for consistent quality and a nostalgic, comforting treat has kept it a favorite for decades.
Whether it’s a classic salted pretzel with tangy cheese dip or a sweet cinnamon-sugar option, Auntie Anne’s remains the gold standard for soft pretzels, offering a perfect balance of simplicity, flavor, and nostalgia.
