Dough
- 1 cup warm Whole Milk at about 110°F
- 2 1/4 teaspoons 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs at room temperature
- 1/2 cup melted Unsalted Butter
- 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Cinnamon Filling
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar packed
- 2 tablespoons ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter softened
Glaze
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted Unsalted Butter
- 2 tablespoons Whole Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Stir in sugar, eggs and 1/2 cup melted butter.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Turn out onto a floured work surface. Knead for 8 - 10 minutes until smooth.
Place in a greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
On a newly floured work surface, roll risen dough into a 16 x 12-inch rectangle.
Spread 1/4 cup softened butter over the surface.
Sprinkle prepared cinnamon/brown sugar mixture evenly over top.
Tightly roll dough from the long side into a log.
Cut roll into 12 equal pieces.
Place small rolls into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
When oven is hot, place rolls in oven and bake 20 - 25 minutes, until golden brown and fluffy.
Whisk together powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla until smooth.
Remove baked rolls from oven.
Drizzle warm rolls with glaze.
