Red Lobster Cheddar Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Potatoes peeled and quartered
- 2 ounces Butter unsalted, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup grated Sharp or Mild Cheddar Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon White Pepper
Instructions
- Place potatoes in a large cooking pot. Add cold water to cover.
- Place on stovetop over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat slightly and simmer until fork tender. Drain completely.
- Place potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
- When smooth, add butter. Blend well.
- Add cream, a little at a time. Beat well with each addition.
- Add sour cream and blend.
- Add cheese, salt and pepper. Blend to mix.
- Taste. Add more salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
- Reheat potatoes on the stovetop or in the microwave, if they have cooled during preparation.
- Serve hot.
