Bahama Breeze BahamaRita Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 cups Sugar
- 3 cups Warm Water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1 cup freshly squeezed Lime Juice
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed Orange Juice
- 10 - 12 ounces fresh Kiwis peeled and cut into slices
- 10 - 12 ounces fresh Mangoes peeled and cut into slices
- 10 - 12 ounces fresh Strawberries
- Cuervo Gold Tequila as needed
- DeKuyper Cactus Juice Schnapps chilled, as needed
- 1 - 2 Limes cut into wedges, to garnish
- 1 - 2 Oranges cut into wedges, to garnish
Instructions
Homemade Simple Syrup
- In a pitcher, combine sugar and warm water. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Measure out 1/2 of the simple syrup and store in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, until ready to use, up to several days. Set aside other 1/2.
Homemade Margarita Mix
- Add lemon, lime and orange juices to a clean pitcher. Mix.
- Add set aside simple syrup to pitcher with combined juices.
- Store Margarita Mix in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, until ready to use, up to 24 hours.
When Ready to Serve
Homemade Fruit Ices
- Place prepared kiwis into a blender.
- Add 2 ounces refrigerated simple syrup.
- Add ice and blend until thick. Add more ice as needed to get a nice, thick slushy consistency.
- Pour into a bowl and place in freezer while doing next steps, up to about 30 minutes maximum.
- Clean blender and repeat with prepared mangoes.
- Clean blender and repeat with strawberries, making 3 fruit ices.
BahamaRitas
- Pour 3 ounces refrigerated Homemade Margarita Mix and 1 1/2 to 2 ounces tequila, to taste, into a clean blender. Add ice and blend until thick. Add more ice as needed to get a nice, thick slushy consistency. Set aside briefly.
- Add 2 teaspoons of each Homemade Fruit Ice to the bottom of a chilled martini glass.
- Pour blended margarita over fruits ices.
- Gently pour a shot of Cactus Juice Schnapps over the drink - or serve in a shot glass alongside the drink for your guest to pour over.
- Place lime and orange wedge on the rim and serve immediately.
