Yoshinoya Beef Bowl (Gyudon) Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups Dashi Soup
- 5 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 3 tablespoons Mirin
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Sake
- 1 Onion thinly sliced
- 4 cups Japanese Steamed Rice cooked
- 1 pound thinly sliced Beef cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon Red Ginger for topping
Instructions
- Place dashi, soy sauce, sugar, mirin and sake in a pan.
- Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
- Add onion slices. Simmer for 3 - 4 minutes.
- Add beef. Simmer for 3 - 4 minutes.
- Place hot cooked steamed rice in 4 deep serving bowls.
- Spoon beef mixture over top of rice.
- Place some red ginger on the top, to serve.
