These bread sticks taste amazing, but the recipe itself isn’t written very well.
I ended up putting all of the melted butter into my dough because recipe said, “Add flour, BUTTER, sugar, fine salt, and 1 1/4 plus 2 tbs warm water.” There were no measurements so I figured it was calling for the same measurements in the ingredients list.
It would have been nice not to waste 1 cup of butter, especially with current butter prices.
The second issue is to proof yeast you need sugar, and this recipe says to add the sugar into the flour, salt, butter, water mixture.
I’m not new to bread making so I knew better and added it to my yeast and warm water mixture instead.
I guess I have learned my lesson and will read the whole recipe before making something new.
Even with the butter goof these turned out great .

This is my first time ever leaving a comment on a Googled recipe. This is the worst recipe I’ve ever attempted. The measurements are absolutely incorrect. This is trash. Please remove the recipe promptly.

This recipe is the exact same as Olive Garden breadsticks. I work for Fazoli’s quite a few years ago but they also have their breadsticks pre-made and we mixed the powdered garlic with the melted butter and put them on the breadsticks before they were baked.
