    What kind of breadcrumbs?

    • Esse. Plain bread crumbs work just fine. Thanks for the question. Mark

You have got to be kidding. This is way too labor intensive to produce a viable, profitable product.

    • Well, Eugene, I suspect you would be right…if they created the onion rings in each individual store. But, I also suspect that the onion ring are shipped to the stores fully made and frozen in large bags. Because they are made by machines in a large factory. Almost all the convenience food we get at the supermarket would be impossible to profitably make by hand – Twinkies, Slim Jims, Oreos just to name a few. This is a home recipe meant to replicate them in the easiest – if not “easy” – way at home. Thank you for the letter. James

I tried this, followed the recipe to a T and it turned out horrible, they need a bonding agent like eggs because as soon as these touched the oil they fell apart. Also the flour milk paste thing just wasn’t it. I’ve made lots of onion rings before, this is not a good recipe for minced onions

    • Alexis,

Thanks for the update. We will look into this and maybe we can get a better recipe.
