Disney Spring's Earl of Sandwich Hawaiian BBQ Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound thinly sliced Ham
- 1 pound grilled boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts or Thighs, sliced thin (See Note in box above for a link to our "How to Cook Boneless Chicken Breasts and Thighs" Information Page)
- 1 large can Pineapple Rings
- 8 slices Swiss Cheese
- Hawaiian BBQ Sauce store bought or homemade
- 4 Sub Rolls toasted
Instructions
- Grill chicken in advance.
- When ready to make sandwiches, warm both meats in the oven or microwave just a bit. Toast rolls.
- Layer 1/4 pound ham, 1/4 pound chicken, 2 pineapple slices and 2 slices Swiss cheese on bottom buns.
- Place bun bottoms on a baking sheet.
- Turn oven on broiler.
- Place in baking sheet in oven and toast under the broiler until hot and the cheese has melted. Watch carefully and do not burn.
- Drizzle -- Or SOAK! -- the top bun with Hawaiian BBQ sauce.
- Assemble sandwiches and serve warm.
