Beau Jo’s Pizza
Beau Jo’s Pizza began in Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1973 and became known for its signature Mountain Pies. These pizzas are famous for their thick, hand-rolled crusts and generous toppings, often served by the pound rather than by the slice.
The Denver locations continued that tradition, offering hearty specialty pizzas designed to satisfy big appetites. Beau Jo’s built a loyal following by embracing bold flavors and a distinctly Colorado approach to pizza.
Colorado’s Mountain Pie with a Burger Twist
Cheeseburger pizza is a playful American mashup that blends two comfort food favorites. Popular in casual pizzerias and family restaurants, it swaps traditional Italian toppings for seasoned ground beef, cheddar and burger-style accents.
In Colorado, thick crust pizzas like Mountain Pies provide the structure needed to support heavier toppings. The result is a filling, all-in-one meal that feels familiar yet distinctly regional.
