T.G.I. Friday’s Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp is easy to make and super delicious. It’s the perfect combination of chicken, shrimp, sauteed vegetables and cheese.

T.G.I. Friday’s Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp Recipe

Note – Read all directions carefully before starting. The chicken and shrimp marinate for different times. Marinating the shrimp too long will cause it to become tough and rubbery.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fresh Garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Lime, zested and juiced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil + 1 tablespoon, divided, to sauté
  • 2 boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
  • 1/2 pound large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups Bell Pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 medium White or Red Onion, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup freshly chopped Tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground Black Pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, add garlic, parsley, Cajun seasoning, 1/4 cup olive oil, lime zest and juice. Mix well.
  2. Place chicken in a medium bowl.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the marinade mixture onto the chicken. Mix the chicken cutlets around the coat them in the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  4. Place the shrimp into another medium bowl.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade onto the shrimp. Marinade for 10 – 15 minutes only.
  6. Add peppers, onions and tomatoes to a large skillet. Sauté in 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil until tender, about 4 – 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. In another skillet, sauté chicken breasts and shrimp in ½ tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Cook evenly on both sides to a golden brown caramelizes (See video).
  8. Heat cast iron skillet on burner over low – medium heat until very hot.
  9. Sprinkle cheese onto the bottom of the skillet.
  10. Place sautéed peppers and onions on 1/2 of the skillet.
  11. Add chicken breasts and shrimp on top of the cheese.
