- 2 pounds Brussels Sprouts
- 4 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 tablespoons Demerara Sugar
- 6 tablespoons Butter melted
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 5 pieces Bacon cooked crisp and roughly chopped
- 15- year aged Balsamic Vinegar or Balsamic Glaze Find at most large supermarkets or upscale markets
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Wash and trim the bud end of the Brussels sprouts. Cut in half and remove any loose outer leaves.
In a large mixing bowl, add vegetable oil, demerara sugar, melted butter, salt and pepper. Mix to combine until sugar and salt are dissolved.
Add Brussels sprouts to oil/butter mixture. Stir until Brussels sprouts are well-coated.
Place Brussels sprouts on a sheet pan, flat side down.
Place in preheated oven. Roast for 20 minutes, or until a skewer or fork is able to pass through with slight resistance. Remove from oven.
Sprinkle with chopped bacon.
Return pan to oven for an additional 3 minutes.
Transfer Brussels sprouts and bacon mix to a serving dish.
Drizzle with 15-year balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze.
Serve warm.
