Dough
- 2 tablespoons Instant Yeast
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Honey
- 3/4 cup Warm Water (below 110°F)
- 2 cups Bread Flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons Salt
Sauce
- 6 ounces Tomato Paste
- 6 ounces Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Toppings
- 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese shredded
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup Bacon Bits smoked
- 1 cup Roma Tomatoes quartered
- 1/2 cup Artichoke Hearts halved
- 1/2 cup Red Onions thinly sliced
- Honey for drizzling, to serve
Dough
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast and 1 1/2 tablespoons honey in warm water. Set aside and let rest until bubbly, about 5 minutes.
Add flour, olive oil and 2 teaspoons salt. Mix/knead 3 - 5 minutes until smooth.
Cover and set aside to rest for 30 minutes.
Sauce
In a saucepan, combine tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, 1 tablespoon honey, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Place over medium heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Assemble
Spread sauce over dough center, leaving braid exposed.
Top with cheeses, bacon bits, tomatoes, artichokes and red onions.
Bake and Finish
Place pizza in preheated oven and bake 18 - 20 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese bubbly.
Remove, let rest 3 minutes
Drizzle with honey, cut and serve.
