Trader Vic's Mai Tai Cocktail Recipe
Make this Straight-From-the-Restaurant Trader Vic's Mai Tai Cocktail Recipe at home. This Signature Restaurant Cocktail, created by Trader Vic himself, was the first big Tiki Cocktail hit and is an absolute Legend.
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Trader Vic's Dark Rum or other Dark Rum of choice
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed Lime Juice
- 1/2 ounce Orange Curacao
- 1/2 ounce Orgeat Syrup
- Splash Simple Syrup about 1/4 ounce, to taste
- Lime Wedge to garnish
- Cherry to garnish
Instructions
- To an ice-filled shaker, add all the ingredients. Shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into an ice-filled Highball, Rocks, Tiki or other glass.
- Garnish with lime wedge and cherry.
- Serve.
