Howard Johnson's Thousand Island Dressing Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Green Onion cleaned and sliced very thin
- 2 tablespoons bottled Capers drained well and chopped
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 teaspoons hot prepared Horseradish squeezed to remove the liquid
- 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon Heinz Chili Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dill Pickles chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Red Wine Vinegar
- 3/8 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Brandy
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Taste. Add more salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
- Store in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, for at least 2 hours to let the flavors blend.
