- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar packed
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 2 tablespoons Molasses
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

The Double Kick
- 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce, such as Tabasco or Frank’s Red Hot
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjusted to heat preference
Place a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Jack Daniel’s whiskey, molasses, Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Stir well.
Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Stir to incorporate.
Add hot sauce, red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper for the signature double kick. Adjust spice levels to taste.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 - 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and the flavors meld together.
Taste and tweak the heat or sweetness as desired. If too thick, thin with a splash of water or whiskey.
Allow the sauce cool slightly before using.
Slather over grilled meats, ribs, or burgers.
