Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce from a 7-ounce can
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  • Remove the chipotle peppers from the can, reserving the adobo sauce.
  • Finely chop peppers, removing seeds for less heat if desired.
  • Place a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add all ingredients - chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lime juice, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder and apple cider vinegar. Whisk thoroughly to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes or until the glaze slightly thickens and the sugar fully dissolves.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly. The glaze will continue to thicken as it cools.
  • Use immediately as a glaze for grilled chicken, shrimp, salmon or even roasted vegetables.
  • Alternatively, cool completely, transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • Reheat gently before using.
