- 1 pound Mushrooms
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 4 tablespoons Margarine
- 1/4 cup chopped Onion
- 2 teaspoons Beef Base
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
- 1 cup Red Burgundy Wine
Wash mushrooms in hot water.
Place butter and margarine into a medium skillet. Place over medium heat.
When butter and margarine have melted and are hot (do not burn), add beef base, onion, garlic powder and black pepper. Stir to mix.
Add mushrooms and simmer until soft.
Add red burgundy wine. Stir to mix and cook for about 1 minute.
Serve hot as an appetizer or alongside a steak.
