Shoney's Cole Slaw Recipe

Cool, creamy and just sweet enough, this Shoney’s classic is the kind of slaw that quietly steals the plate.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups finely shredded Green Cabbage
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons White Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine cabbage and carrots.
  • In another bowl, whisk mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and black pepper until smooth.
  • Pour dressing over cabbage mixture.
  • Toss until evenly coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • Stir before serving.
  • Serve chilled.
