- 6 tablespoons Stone-Ground or Dijon Mustard
- 6 tablespoons freshly grated or prepared Horseradish
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Panera Bread Sourdough Baguette or other Sourdough Baguette of choice
- Lettuce pulled into leaves
- 1 large Onion peeled and sliced
- 1 large Tomato sliced
- 6 to 8 thin slices Lean Roast Beef
In a medium bowl, add mustard, horseradish and mayonnaise. Mix until well-blended.
Taste. Add more mustard or horseradish, to taste.
Set aside for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Cut sourdough baguette in half horizontally.
Place baguette cut side up on a baking sheet.
Place in oven, set on broil, and toast, watching carefully, for 1 to 2 minutes, until it is toasted to your specifications.
Spread prepared horseradish-mustard sauce on both sides of the toasted bread.
Place several leaves of lettuce on top bun.
Place several prepared onion and tomato slices atop lettuce, to taste.
Pile slices of roast beef onto bottom bun.
Reassemble baguette.
Cut into sandwich servings.
Serve immediately or store, wrapped in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
