Ingredients

Shaved Prime Rib

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 pound thinly sliced Prime Rib preferably from a deli or butcher
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Sandwich

  • 4 Hoagie Rolls split and toasted
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 1/2 cup sautéed Onions
  • 1/2 cup sautéed Mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • Fresh Parsley chopped, to garnish

Instructions

Shaved Prime Rib

  • Pour oil into a medium skillet. Place over medium heat.
  • When oil is hot and shimmering, add thinly sliced prime rib to the skillet.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cook until meat is warmed through and lightly browned, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from skillet to a plate or cutting board.

Assemble the Sandwich

  • Place bottoms of hoagie rolls on a work surface.
  • Place a slice of provolone cheese on each toasted hoagie roll.
  • Spoon warmed prime rib onto rolls, making sure to distribute evenly.
  • Add warm sautéed onions and mushrooms on top of the meat.
  • Spread a mixture of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the inside of top half of each roll.
  • Place top half of the rolls on the sandwiches.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a touch of color.
  • Serve immediately with a side of French fries or a salad, if desired.
