Ingredients

  • 8 All-Beef Hot Dogs
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 4 Hot Dog Buns
  • 1 cup Eli's Style Barbecue Sauce or other BBQ Sauce, store-bought or homemade, of choice (Plenty of Good Recipes on this Site)
  • 1 cup Creamy Southern Cole Slaw See Box Below for a Link to this Recipe or other creamy Southern-Style Cole Slaw, store-bought or homemade, of choice
  • 1/2 cup Pork Crispins the crispy ends of the pork ribs. Save a handful when you next have pork ribs - they freeze well - or cook or buy some pork ribs to enjoy separately or alongside your hot dogs. See Boxes Below for a Link to a Good Recipe

Instructions

  • Heat 1 inch vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F.
  • Fry hot dogs in batches for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly blistered. Drain on paper towels.
  • Warm buns lightly.
  • Place two hot dogs in each bun.
  • Spoon barbecue sauce over the franks.
  • Top with coleslaw and sprinkle generously with pork crispins.
  • Serve immediately.
