- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 - 3 fresh Jalapeños adjust based on spice preference, stems and seeds removed, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh Cilantro chopped
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Lime Juice
- 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground Cumin
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Water to thin, as needed
Place sour cream, mayonnaise, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, white vinegar, garlic and cumin in a blender or food processor. Pulse until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste and adjust the seasonings - lime juice and jalapeño - to suit your preferences.
Store in a tightly covered container, in the refrigerator, for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld or until ready to serve.
