Yield: 4 Servings
- Four 6-ounces Salmon Fillets skin removed
- 1/4 cup White Miso Paste
- 2 tablespoons Mirin (Japanese Sweet Rice Wine)
- 2 tablespoons Sake or Dry White Wine)
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 2 Green Onions sliced, to garnish
- Sesame Seeds to garnish
- Steamed White or Brown Rice to serve
- Stir-Fried or Steamed Vegetables to serve
To a small bowl, add miso paste, mirin, sake, sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil. Whisk until smooth.
Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the miso marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are fully coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with foil. Lightly grease foil.
Remove salmon from marinade, allowing excess drip off, and place fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
Place in preheated oven and bake for 12 - 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. For a slightly caramelized top, broil for an additional 1 - 2 minutes.
Sprinkle the salmon with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables, if desired.
