- 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2/3 cup granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup 1 stick Unsalted Butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tablespoon Honey
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
In a separate bowl, beat eggs.
Then whisk in melted butter, milk, sour cream and honey.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined - do not overmix.
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
Serve warm with butter or a drizzle of honey.
