Emeril's Banana Cream Pie Recipe

- 1 envelope unflavored Gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold Water
- 6 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups Heavy or Whipping Cream
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Sweet Butter
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

- 4 Bananas sliced
In blender or food processor, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over cold water and let stand 2 minutes.
In medium saucepan, heat chocolate, 1/2 cup heavy cream, sugar, butter and cocoa over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted.
Stir in vanilla.
Add hot mixture to food processor or blender. Process at low speed until gelatin is dissolved completely, about 2 minutes.
Pour into bowl and chill until mixture mounds, about 1 hour.
In clean bowl, beat remaining 1 cup heavy cream until stiff. Fold into chocolate mixture.
Spoon 1/3 chocolate mixture into prepared crust.
Top with half of bananas. Repeat layers, ending with chocolate.
Garnish, if desired, with additional whipped cream.
