Ingredients

  • 12 Whole Chicken Wings cut into "Drummettes" and "Planks" (leave "tips" connected to planks or cut off and discard) to make 24 Chicken Wing Pieces
  • 1/2 cup Cooking Oil
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Louisiana-Style Hot Sauce (Domino's uses Frank's RedHot)
  • 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Celery Sticks for serving
  • Blue Cheese Dressing for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare wings by cutting and rinsing under cold water. Pat with paper towels to dry.
  • Pour cooking oil into a large bowl.
  • Add wings to bowl and toss to fully coat with oil.
  • Place wings in a single layer on a cookie sheet about 1-inch apart.
  • Place wings into oven.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, checking frequently for burning. Turn 1/2 way through or as needed. (While wings are cooking, prepare the sauce starting with the next instruction.)
  • Place a saucepan over medium heat. Add butter.
  • When butter has melted and is hot (do not burn), stir in hot sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Simmer mixture for 5 - 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until well-combined and heated through.
  • Taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Remove sauce from heat and let it cool while wings finish cooking.
  • Remove wings to a paper towel covered plate. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Place wings in sauce. Toss to coat.
  • Remove wings with tongs to a serving plate.
  • Serve with celery sticks, blue cheese dressing and any other accompaniments and sauces you like.
