Prepare Papa John's Garlic Dipping Sauce according to the recipe linked to in the Box below. Set aside.
Add flour, yeast and 2 teaspoons salt together to a large bowl. Mix well to combine.
Add in olive oil. Stir to mix.
Slowly add water, mixing well to form a soft dough.
Flour a work surface. Turn dough out on to floured surface.
Knead dough for about 5 minutes, until smooth (or mix in a mixer for 2 - 3 minutes). Form into a ball.
Transfer dough ball to a clean bowl. Cover with a damp tea towel and leave to rise for about 1 1/2 hours, until doubled in size.
When dough has risen, knock it back, squashing the air out. Then knead again until smooth. Roll into a ball. Place back in the bowl and cover for 30 minutes to 1 hour until risen again.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Divide dough into six balls. Reserve two to make Garlic Knots (Or more, if you like). Extras dough balls can be made into pizzas or frozen for future garlic knots or pizzas.
Roll out one dough ball on a lightly floured work surface until about 8 inches in diameter.
Cut dough into 6 long strips, about 1 inch wide.
Brush strips with prepared Papa John's Garlic Dipping Sauce.
Tie each strips into a knot.
Place knots on a baking tray.
Place pan in preheated oven. Bake for about 10 - 15 minutes until done and golden browned. Remove from oven.
