Place dried fruit in a saucepan. Add enough water to just cover the dried fruit.
Place over high heat and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes, being careful to not let it boil dry. Add water, if needed.
Add wine. Gently simmer for another 20 minutes, or until all but about 2 teaspoons of liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat.
Add barbecue sauce Worcestershire sauce, A1 sauce, a generous sprinkling of red pepper flakes, honey and cider vinegar.
Place pan back on the stove, over medium high heat. Bring mixture to a boil. Lower heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes.
Remove from heat. Cool slightly.
Place mixture in a blender. Blend just long enough to break up the fruit, about 10 - 15 seconds.
Store in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, until ready to serve up to 2 weeks.
