Prepare Village Tavern French Toast Batter according to the recipe linked to in the Box below. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 250°F.
Place a large non-stick, oven-safe sauté pan over medium heat.
Place 2 tablespoon butter in pan.
Pour prepared Village Tavern French Toast Batter into a shallow bowl large enough to place the bread slices in.
When butter has melted and is hot, dip sliced Brioche in prepared Village Tavern French Toast Batter. Turn to coat both side.
Remove bread, allowing excess batter to drip off, and place in heated sauté pan.
Cook each side of bread for about 3 minutes, until golden.
Remove bread to a plate. Repeat to cook second slice.
Return both slices to pan (crowd if you need to) and place pan in the oven. Cook for 3 more minutes.
Remove pan from oven. Place toast slices on a plate.
Cut each slice into half. Arrange the triangle pieces on a plate.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Serve with fresh berries and maple syrup, if desired.
