Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound Butter
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon White Pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups Half & Half
  • 3 cups frozen cut Sweet Corn

Instructions

  • To a large sauce pan, add butter.
  • Place pan over medium low heat and melt butter.
  • When butter has melted and is hot, do not burn, add flour. Whisk to combine.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Whisk in salt, pepper and half & half. Cook for another 5 minutes, whisking constantly to make sure not to burn bottom of pan. Check temperature - Mixture must reach 170°F.
  • Add corn. Continue to stir mixture while heating for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
