Ingredients

  • 4 boneless Chicken Breasts pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 8 slices Provolone Cheese
  • One 16-ounce jar Spaghetti Sauce or Marinara Sauce or 2 cups Homemade Marinara Sauce See Box Above for Recipes
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese to sprinkle

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Pound to breasts to 1/2-inch thickness.
  • Sprinkle flour over chicken breasts, evenly coating both sides. Set aside
  • In medium bowl add egg and milk. Whisk to mix and beat slightly.
  • In another medium bowl, add bread crumbs.
  • Add olive oil to a large skillet. Place over medium-high heat and heat until oil is hot and shimmering.
  • Dip floured chicken breasts in milk and egg mixture. Turn to coat.
  • Then dip in bread crumbs, turning and pressing down to coat well.
  • Carefully place chicken breasts in hot skillet.
  • Brown the chicken in the hot oil on both sides until golden, about 3 - 4 minutes on each side.
  • Place browned chicken in a baking dish.
  • Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  • Pour spaghetti or marinara sauce over all.
  • Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
  • Place in preheated oven. Bake about 25 - 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Serve hot.
