Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jim Beam or other Bourbon Whiskey of choice
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup White Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced Garlic
  • 1 pinch dry Mustard
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic and mustard.
  • Use "as is" or reduce to thicken.
  • To reduce, place sauce in medium pot. Place over low heat. Simmer until thickened slightly.
  • Taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
  • Allow to cool. Store in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, until ready to use.
