- 1 cup Jim Beam or other Bourbon Whiskey of choice
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup White Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon minced Garlic
- 1 pinch dry Mustard
- Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
In a medium bowl, combine bourbon, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic and mustard.
Use "as is" or reduce to thicken.
To reduce, place sauce in medium pot. Place over low heat. Simmer until thickened slightly.
Taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
Allow to cool. Store in a tightly sealed container, in the refrigerator, until ready to use.
