Citrus Garlic Butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Butter
  • 1/4 cup Chives
  • 2 tablespoon minced Garlic
  • Zest and freshly squeezed Juice of 1 Lemon You can use the same lemon. Do the zesting first then cut it in 1/2 and squeeze.
  • 3 - 4 drops Tabasco Sauce or other Hot Sauce of choice

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whip butter until soft.
  • Add chives and garlic.
  • Add lemon zest and juice.
  • Season with hot sauce, to taste. Mix very well.
  • Spread butter out on a 12-inch sheet of wax or parchment paper.
  • Roll into a smooth log removing all the paper creases.
  • Place in the refrigerator until ready to use. Allow butter to come to room temperature before using.
The rolled butter can be kept in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 days or in the freezer for up to 30 days.
