A Maggiano’s Little Italy Copycat Recipe
Maggiano's Little Italy Chicken Parmesan Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless Chicken Breasts pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 2 - 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 8 slices Provolone Cheese
- One 16-ounce jar Spaghetti Sauce or Marinara Sauce or 2 cups Homemade Marinara Sauce See Box Above for Recipes
- Grated Parmesan Cheese to sprinkle
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Pound to breasts to 1/2-inch thickness.
- Sprinkle flour over chicken breasts, evenly coating both sides. Set aside
- In medium bowl add egg and milk. Whisk to mix and beat slightly.
- In another medium bowl, add bread crumbs.
- Add olive oil to a large skillet. Place over medium-high heat and heat until oil is hot and shimmering.
- Dip floured chicken breasts in milk and egg mixture. Turn to coat.
- Then dip in bread crumbs, turning and pressing down to coat well.
- Carefully place chicken breasts in hot skillet.
- Brown the chicken in the hot oil on both sides until golden, about 3 - 4 minutes on each side.
- Place browned chicken in a baking dish.
- Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- Pour spaghetti or marinara sauce over all.
- Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
- Place in preheated oven. Bake about 25 - 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Serve hot.

Very tasty but… Maggianos does not bake with sauce poured all over it at the end. Just bake with Provo on top then plate it with sauce in plate on the bottom and half sauce on top the chicken. Otherwise you will compromise the crispy coating.
