The first thing we need it for you to answer our short poll. Your input is invaluable to us.

Below is a list of a few of the cookbooks we have ready to go. These are books that we think have the most wide-ranging appeal. But we are a small group and quite biased in our choices.

We need you to help us pick out the 5 cookbooks that you would MOST like to see winging their way to you in the first email.

We have ALL of the cookbooks below written and ready to go. You will get ALL of them eventually with your Free Subscription. But for now we want to know which 5 below are the most enticing to you? Which ones would you most like to get and cook from? Which cookbooks would make you stop and subscribe if you were seeing an ad or link?  Got it?

Not only will this help us decide what to send to you — but it will also shape the future of the Free Cookbook Club, by telling us what would be our most popular option for attracting new subscribers once the site is up and running for real (more on this important aspect in a couple days).

      So far we have tried to include a good mixture of easy and challenging recipes in each cookbook – Or what we have been calling “Weeknight” and “Weekend” recipes, here at the sprawling Free Cookbook Club World Headquarters. 😉 We have in the works, collections that should cover the whole gamut – Easy Weeknight Recipes, Comfort Foods, “Company is Coming” Over Recipes, etc.

    We all depend on the internet so much nowadays that a lot of really wonderful time tested, family tradition or just down right wonderful recipes never go past our kitchens or our families and best friends kitchens! I would live to see a book of family favorites, much like the cookbooks put out by church or other organizations with fantastic, time honored favorites! Nothing like trying and finding new favorites, but what family function doesn’t have at least one or two delicious dishes that we all look forward to every Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter dinner? It would just not be the same without those dishes honoring the special occasion! Yes, a lot more work, but I know for a fact that my children would love to have a place to go where Grandma’s dinner buns or mom’s fettuccini Alfredo recipe will be there for them when we are long gone!

      Thank you for visiting and the long thoughtful comment. Everything you said is spot-on and shared by all of us.

      We don’t want to give away all of our ideas just yet – but I tell you that you nailed several of them.

      We have a growing collection of community, church, club and school recipe books and have already included many recipes from them (when we have the rights, of course) in our cookbooks. We’ll also share some on the web.

      Likewise, we want to tap our talented subscribers for their favorite homemade and family recipes. We plan to do this by Subject or Topic (Such as your favorite family Spaghetti Recipe. Or recipe for homemade Ice Cream.) so that we can make a complete book of them.

      We love the idea of special occasion collections. Holidays, seasonals, big events (ex. Superbowl). Yeah. Great idea. Expect many of these.

      Thank you. And send us Grandma’s dinner buns AND Mom’s Fettuccini Alfredo recipes. 😉

    What a Great idea this is!! I would like to be able to see more gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives as well! No one in my family is celiac, but, wheat and barley causes inflammation in me in a most painful way!! Dairy tears up my son’s stomach like crazy!! It would be nice to have a collection in book form and not have to hop form one site to another. There are many wonderful and beautiful sites on the internet that are gluten and a few dairy-free, but, I like being able to go to just one place when I am in a hurry, and not have to skim through all the chatter talking about the recipe/s I want to fix!!! I look forward to receiving more emailings from y’all in the future! Y’all are really on to something great here!! More power to you!! Keep up the great work!! Thank you!!

      Seriously, no, it was just way harder to work out all the details than we thought it would be. None of us are computer whizzes. Making the cookbooks was fairly straight forward but everything else — from email to distribution — has been a learning process.
